Introducing a new logo for Chalk Drop

I’m very excited to show you Chalk Drop’s logo.

This winning logo was created by Australian designer Julian Nicoll. Also known as “bluejet”, he is from Queensland and is DesignCrowd’s top ranked designer in Australia.

DesignCrowd is an Australian crowdsourcing startup. In just two weeks, 191 designs were submitted by 69 designers! I took a lot of time to think about these and feedback to the designers about what I liked. The decision was hard. There were 3 or 4 I could have gone with. After lots of helpful comments from family, I selected this beautiful parachute design. I love the way it represents dropping chalks in a way I hadn’t thought of. It’s also a great pun which my sister-in-law, Kate, pointed out will make the brand memorable.
